Healthy Nigerian Snacking

Kilishi has been on Nigerian roads for generations. Here is how we are making a classic cleaner without losing its soul.

Kilishi pack on an office desk

Kilishi is one of the oldest snacks in Northern Nigeria: thin sheets of beef, coated in a spiced groundnut paste and dried slowly in the sun and over fire.

We kept the soul of that recipe and cleaned up the rest. Grass-fed beef, natural spices, dates and honey for sweetness, and careful drying that protects nutrition and taste.

The result is a snack that belongs as much in a laptop bag in Lagos as it does on the road to Kano.
